Scribe Software continues to build out its integration solutions for Microsoft Dynamics. Scribe’s Dynamics AX – CRM 2012 Jumpstart, due to ship in Q2, aims to remove the need to write custom integration code to connect Dynamics AX 2012 to Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

“When we spoke to partners and customers about their ideal AX integration solution, we knew we had to strike the balance of transparency and flexibility with an intuitive user experience to get these projects off the ground quickly,” said Betsy Bilhorn, Scribe’s vice president of product management.

To Bilhorn, “quickly” means hitting a balance between simplicity and customization connecting Dynamics AX 2012 to CRM.   On that point, Scribe’s Dynamics AX – CRM 2012 Jumpstart won’t require customers use an SDK or write special scripting, but it retains the ability for customers to tweak or tune integrations under the hood, as needed, she added.

The Scribe Dynamics AX – CRM 2012 Jumpstart is designed to deal with complex CRM to ERP integration projects, including enterprise financial systems, she said. Scribe’s solution will provide quick deployment for a baseline integration, and alsi easily support more custom integration needs.

In specific, Scribe’s Dynamics AX 2012 – CRM Jumpstart integration solution supports these key features:

  • Synchronizes customer and contact information between the two systems
  • Manages the flow of sales orders and invoices
  • Updates CRM with currency conversion rates from AX
  • Maintains the product catalog in CRM, based on changes in AX, and
  • Supports all AX user tables including: Customer, Non-stock Items , Service Items, Orders, Invoices, Vendors, and Purchase Orders.

Under the covers, Scribe’s adapter for Microsoft Dynamics AX uses the AX .NET Business Connector to ensure data is integrated with AX business logic enforced. Scribe also offers a query builder that can join, filter, and order objects when connecting to Dynamics AX as a source. Scribe also supports  “fuzzy” matches.

The Scribe Dynamics AX – CRM 2012 will ship in Q2 2012. This latest Scribe offering also sets the stage for upcoming Scribe ERP integration solutions for SAP and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Bilhorn added.

Early reaction to Scribe’s latest integration option is favorable. Scribe’s AX Adapter “was specifically redesigned to take advantage of new features in Dynamics AX 2012, which provides us with even greater flexibility in tailoring solutions to the unique needs of our ERP customers,” said Kathy Killingsworth, managing director of ERP for Tribridge, an IT services company specializing in Microsoft Dynamics, based in Tampa, Fla.
