Later this year, Global 360 will bring its Persona-based BPM approach to case management with the launch of Case360 11.0. The latest version, to ship in December, will blend the advantages of case management with benefits from end-to-end role-based processes.

In specific, Global 360’s Case360 11.0 combines collaborative and ad-hoc business processes allows teams to access documents, tasks, deadlines, and threaded discussions from within a single case folder.

The result: individuals get access to the information needed to process a case that is customized to their roles and privileges, a Global 360 executive said. Case 360 11.0 also provides unified and integrated view of case data, giving organizations complete visibility and auditable control, they added.

Combining case management and role-based BPM provides key benefits, according to Bruce Silver, an independent industry analyst. Among them:

  • Allows case management workers better manage a collection of tasks and processes “interlinked” by events, rules, and business judgments.
  • Ability to treat a case as a “single complex thing” comprised of related items for creating, editing, versioning, organizing -- not simply a collection of attachments for viewing.
  • Offers an out-of-the-box case folder paradigm for immediate use, rather than a core BPM system that needs to be updated or modified with add-ons or tools.

Inside Case 360’s BPM-SOA Foundation

Case360 11.0 features a highly scalable process engine optimized for people and content management, enabling SOA-based access for human-centric business processes. Case360 leverages Microsoft Visio for process modeling, reducing learning curves, and enhancing business and IT collaboration.

In addition, The Task Management facility in Case360 11.0 supports rapid adaptation of business processes by allowing end users the flexibility to add or adapt assignments on the fly. The Task facility also includes support for deadline management and dependencies. Visibility into the status and progress of each case folder is built in.

Extending the role-based reach of Global 360`s persona-based approach, Case360 11.0 offers two new Personas, Researcher and Data Entry Clerk.
