Cordys Software is improving flexibility and performance for BPM in the cloud with the release of BOP4 Business Optimization Platform. BOP4 lets users securely and reliably federate and manage resources across multiple clouds public, private and hybrid.

The premise behind Cordys BOP4 is simpleyetdramatic:

In the same way that the internet is a network of networks, there will be not just one cloud but a number of different clouds full of applications and services, according to Cordys. BOP4 provides "assembly" and "orchestration" layers in the cloud to better let these resources work together to deliver many business advantages.

"The Cordys solution allows company to isolate existing IT assets, build new processes and continuously monitor the entire enterprise," said Jan Baan, Cordys' CEO in a statement.

Cordys' BOP has already achieved better, faster and cheaper BPM for customers, SOS International, U.S. Xpress and Tata Motors, he said. Cordys also offers an innovative getstarted approach, dubbed Cordys 3+3+3, which includes: a 3day workshop, a 3week proofofconcept, and a 3month pilot application period.

Brings Power of Assembly, Orchestration to Cloud

Cordys' BOP4 includes an open, integrated set of tools and technologies including: Composite Application Framework, Master Data Management capabilities and a SOA Grid, and Web 2.0 portal/GUI technologies.

A Butler Group assessment of Cordys' technology liked both the technology bundle, and its ease of use. "[BOP4] is a technical solution that hides much of the technical complexity from the end user, and creates an ecosystem that provides usability where it is really required—at the process management end." Butler's report said.

In specific, Cordys BOP4 provides a widerange of assembly and orchestration technologies with a flexible deployment model that can support a wide array of cloud configurations, including cloudbased web SaaS solution, an onpremise private cloud or even as a hybrid public/private model, Baan said. BOP is designed to delivers these benefits:

  • Unified Views: A single view of the business, which contributes to more teamwork and innovation so that enterprises can outpace competition and meet other business challenges.
