Cordys, a provider of BPM technologies optimized for the cloud, is expanding its partnership with BPM services firm Sogeti to bring cloud-based BPM options to the financial and transportation sectors.

The expanded Cordys/Sogeti partnership comes on the heels of successful BPM-cloud projects they have done for the energy and utilities sector, according to company executives.

With Cordys' Business Operations Platform (BOP), and Sogeti's ICT (Information & Communication Technology) and BPM consulting services, utility users were able to combine the power of simplified business process technologies with cloud computing resources. The result, the ability to quickly design, build and deploy business processes that respond to changing market conditions, customer requirements, made power powerful with the ability to easily link these processes to cloud-based resources (such as datacenter resources and remote SaaS-software as a service applications).

"Our joint clients are subject to many changes in the current economic climate. The joint solution from Cordys and Sogeti make[s] sure that the business processes, rather than the IT infrastructure, become the driving force," said Hans de Visser, Managing Director of Cordys Benelux & Nordics, said in a statement.

Mark Ramselaar, managing director of Sogeti Architecture & Business Solutions, provided details on one client use case.

An energy supplier recently earned back the investment made within a period of six months, and in addition realized cost savings, through the joint efforts of Cordys and Sogeti," Ramselaar said in the statement. "Our cooperation directly contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of our clients."
