JackBe executives say 2008 was a banner year for adoption of enterprise mashup solutions. The provider of the Presto enterprise mashup platform, noted record growth from adoptions in government and commercial sectors, as well as its launch of an online mashup developer community.
"2008 proved to be a year of very positive momentum for JackBe and the entire Enterprise Mashup community. I couldn't be prouder of the work our team has done," said Luis Derechin, CEO of JackBe, in a statement.
"In an economic climate like the one we face today, decisions must be made with the best possible information and enterprises must find ways to be more efficient and productive. Mashup-driven solutions such as real-time decision dashboards, situational awareness and agile integration are a cost-effective way for organizations to access and combine data from their existing business systems and create the right context for their critical business decisions," Derechin added.
He noted particular success at the U.S. Department of Defense's DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), which now has one the most mature enterprise mashup implementations in any government agency. JackBe also reported enterprise mashup contracts in several commercial sectors, including publishing, shipping, pharmaceutical, and financial services industries.
