AmberPoint is bringing greater end-to-end SOA governance and business transaction management capabilities to heterogeneous composite apps with support for Microsoft's Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and .NET Framework 3.5.

AmberPoint officials said the new offerings will let IT organizations running applications on WCF better ensure the health and transactional integrity of their distributed composite applications.

"AmberPoint's support for WCF and .NET Framework 3.5 is the latest addition to a long-standing strategic relationship as part of the Microsoft Business Process Alliance that has brought tangible benefits to our shared customers," said Burley Kawasaki, Director of Developer Platform Product Management, Microsoft, in a statement. "The company's ongoing support for Microsoft's SOA technologies is vital to achieving end-to-end system management capabilities, so we are glad to welcome AmberPoint to our System Center Alliance Program community."

With these latest enhancements for Microsoft platforms, AmberPoint now support the latest versions of: Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF); Microsoft UDDI v3 Registry; Microsoft BizTalk Server; Microsoft Visual Studio; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS); Microsoft Windows Server; Microsoft Active Directory; and Microsoft System Center Operations Manager

AmberPoint also joined Microsoft's System Center Alliance Program, a partner ecosystem that helps facilitate integrated systems management solutions.

"AmberPoint invests heavily in our strategic relationship with Microsoft," said Gary Rinedollar, AmberPoint's Vice President of Alliances, in the statement. "In response to customer demand, we continue to enhance our support for Microsoft SOA technologies as we introduce groundbreaking new governance and management capabilities to the market."

Using AmberPoint solutions, enterprises implementing composite applications can better understand how their systems behave, manage each transaction flowing across their distributed environments, employ policies to automate performance management, remedy exceptional conditions and uphold security—al without special coding to the application components or message tags, the company said. AmberPoint said its architecture allows SOA applications to evolve and grow without constant recoding to system components.
