VanceInfo Opens IBM-Focused SOA Solution Lab in China
VanceInfo, one of the leading offshore software development companies in China, has opened an SOA Solution Lab in Beijing to focus on developing industry-specific solutions built on IBM's WebSphere SOA portfolio.
VanceInfo officials said their SOA solutions lab will focus on using IBM WebSphere to design and build SOA solutions for technology, telecommunications, financial services, manufacturing, retail and distribution.
VanceInfo's collaboration with IBM SOA is "a new milestone" for the company's partnership with IBM," said David Chen, President of VanceInfo, in a statement. "The newly opened lab will enhance our technical capabilities and help us further expand our potential in IT services.
With more than 7,000 clients IBM is a pioneer and a dominant player in the SOA field. IBM pays great attention to alliances and helps its business partners penetrate into vertical markets, and we are pleased to join IBM in these efforts."
According to Matt Wang, Vice President of IBM China and President of IBM China Development Lab, IBM will provide strong support to the VanceInfo SOA Solution Lab in terms of software, training and solution certifications. "[T]his cooperation will enhance our solution family, and help VanceInfo further develop its solution capabilities to meet demands from various industries," Wang said in the statement.
Aside from IBM WebSphere, VanecInfo also has SOA expertise in these technologies: Microsoft .NET, BizTalk, Oracle's (formerly BEA's) web Logic, Tuexedo, TIBCO, and Software AG's webMethods
A recent report from Gartner Inc. predicts SOA will be used in more than 80% of new mission-critical operational applications and business processes by 2010.
