Web 2.0 Expo Europe Convenes in Berlin, Oct 21-23
The second annual Web 2.0 Expo Europe will be held in Berlin on Oct. 21-23. Topics include: start-up financing, mobile 2.0, cloud computing, social network and Web 2.0 advertising.
The second annual Web 2.0 Expo Europe, a conference for Web 2.0 leaders and technologists who are building, leveraging, and driving the European Web economy, will be held in Berlin on Oct. 21-23.
The event will offer feature European and U.S. entrepreneurs and CEOs discussing topics that include start-up financing, mobile 2.0, cloud computing, social network and Web 2.0 advertising, according to the organizers. The conference will also address the dynamic culture of Web 2.0 as well as the lessons learned.
Co-produced by TechWeb and O'Reilly Media Inc., the event will attracts technical, design, marketing and business professionals from Europe and the U.S.
"We have merely scratched the surface of the potential that lies within the Web 2.0 ecosystem," said Tim O'Reilly, founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, in a statement. "Web 2.0 has incredible potential for not only our personal and professional use but within the political and social domain."
Keynote speakers include: Ben Hammersley, a British journalist, broadcaster, photographer, and technologist; John Lilly, CEO, Mozilla; and Yossi Vardi, an Israeli tech entrepreneur.
The conference program also includes networking events that will allow attendees to talk with one another, according to the organizers. The ideas, techniques and business models presented at the conference can be applied to corporate, start-up, or independent companies across different industries.
