SOA Software and iTKO have announced a tool for continuous management and quality assurance across the entire design, development and change lifecycle of SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) applications.

The integrated offering looks to address an on-going need for SOA quality assurance technologies across design, deployment and update phases of an SOA project. The SOA Software/iTKO integrated offering combines iTKO's LISA Testing, Validation & Virtualization suite, and SOA Software's Policy Manager and Service Manager solutions.

The combined tool helps enterprises manage complex, heterogeneous systems to ensure that business requirements are met. It also reduces the risk of inevitable change in underlying systems such as ESB/messaging, databases, mainframes and other custom and legacy applications, the companies said.

The newly-integrated toolset improves collaboration and efficiency among all SOA stakeholders across the lifecycle, which triggers a range of other important benefits, including:

  • Continuous quality assurance for risk mitigation within SOA Governance processes with less manual effort and cost; and
  • Better compliance and control of defined Service Policies including automated enforcement throughout the SOA design, development and change lifecycles to ensure business requirements are being met
