TIBCO ActiveMatrix Supports SCA for SOA
During JavaOne 2008, TIBCO demonstrated its ActiveMatrix Service Grid will sport support for the Service Component Architecture (SCA).
TIBCO's ActiveMatrix provides a grid architecture which supports plugability for different components. The result, TIBCO engineers explain, is that IT architects and developers can design, develop, deploy, manage and govern SOA solutions without having to worry about each of the underlying technologies.
The company said by using TIBCO ActiveMatrix Service Grid and SCA, developers can go beyond Java and BPEL services to also have Java coupled with .NET, offering a powerful combination for enterprise customers to manage their broader technology infrastructure
Matt Quinn, senior vice president of engineering and technology strategies at TIBCO, said: "ActiveMatrix Service Grid enables companies to achieve extreme scalability by providing service virtualization through an open, extensible service platform based on a proven foundation."
Last month, TIBCO launched a new functionality to its ActiveMatrix SOA platform to automatically predict and fix IT problems before they slow down networks.
